Winter Yodel - pre-spring 2015 look book

Days are growing longer. The snow starts to melt. Little plants and herbs start popping up again.
Between the grey, rainy days, sudden gusts of wind and the occasional cold, one thing is for sure - winter will be over soon.

It's time to put away our heavy coats and slowly transition into sweater weather. Of course, we stil have the full month of February ahead, but wouldn't it be nice to actually enjoy the last bits of winter in pretty clothes instead of couting the days?

And what could be more appropriate than handmade, 40s-inspired Austrian cardigans to keep yus going?

I have to admit - these were shot on a particularly warm day in December during my trip back to Romania, but I stand by my choice of using the wild landscape of Moldavia instead of the overly-trimmed Parisian parks.

It just makes me think of vacationing in the Alps, horseback riding and 19th century hunting trips.

For the first time, the look book was shot entirely on film.

This mini-collection has six beautiful austraian cardigans, an adorable hand knit hearts sweater and a super cool cape.

All will be in the shop next week. Stay tuned!

Shop update : The NOWHERE collection

I'm happy to finally present you with... the NOWHERE collection! Some of you guys might have seen a few looks popping up already on Tumblr and Chictopia, but I never got a chance to present my concept fully before.

I do like trying to group my vintage finds in little collections when I get the chance and this batch of velvet and 90s finds just go so well together!

After seeing Gregg Araki's hypnotic movie NOWHERE, I knew I needed no other references. 90s movies just look SO good on film! It's just so sad that the Cinemathèque is showing less and less prints lately...

It's just everything I loved mashed into 80-something minutes - teen drama, camp, trippy colors, sex, and the most out-there brand of absurd humor. Just watch the trailer!

Sure, it might not be for everyone, but the fashion is simply insane! Crop tops, 60s space age outfits and all the platform shoes you can dream of!

Each look was inspired by a character; you can read more in the description of each listing. A proper movie post will be coming up soon.

They're all in the Etsy boutique now! Happy shopping :)

Grey Gardens : Winter 2013 Look Book

I'm happy to announce that our winter look book is finally finished!

It was inspired by Grey Gardens for this atmosphere of a long gone glorious past, living ruins and the beauty of obsolete eccentricity, all things that fit so well with the overall French aesthetic.

It was shot in the famous Parisian cemetery Père Lachaise; yes, the one with the famous Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison graves.

Need I say I completely froze my ass off? Luckily I was wearing a slip, but in the end it didn't help much.

There are dresses from the '50s through the '90s, mostly velvet  and corduroy , in dark, season-appropriate shades.

Part of them come from my personal collection, so be sure not to miss out on these beauties!

The dresses should be in the shop by the end of the week, but make sure to check back again.
